Federal Government Confirms Five New Coronavirus Cases in Nigeria
It was only three at first, now five other cases of the COVID-19 virus has been confirmed in Nigeria bringing the total number of infected people to eight.
The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire confirmed these new cases in a press briefing in Abuja, today Wednesday 18 March, 2020.
Three of the infected people came from the US to Nigeria out of which are a mother and child. The two other cases were recorded from those coming from the UK. Four out of the five happened in Lagos while the last person happened in Ekiti.
This news comes after the Federal Government of Nigeria announced it has placed a travel ban on 13 countries with over 1000 cases of the Coronavirus.
