A glance at the TECNO Phantom X
TECNO, skipping the PHANTOM series last year was a disappointment for many users waiting to upgrade their old TECNO PHANTOM 9. However, TECNO taking its wraps off the PHANTOM X a few days ago reveals what they’ve been working on for the past two years and why it’s worth the wait.
The TECNO PHANTOM X is an outstanding device, packing impressive premium features at its price point.
One of the premium features that resonates well with our today’s offer is the design and display of the PHANTOM X. It packs a premium-glass build on both sides covered with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The device rocks a 6.7″ Super AMOLED display with curved sides. It refreshes at 90Hz and comes in a Full HD+ resolution, which makes it more comfortable to use, pleasing to the eyes, and of course, brings it on par with many premium devices in 2021.
Our next favourite and most improved feature of the PHANTOM X are the cameras. The device comes with a triple rear camera setup featuring an industrial leading 50MP primary camera with a massive 1/1.3″ sensor and laser focus.
It is further flanked by a 13MP telephoto camera, with a 50mm professional portrait lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120o field of view. Lastly, there’s a large flash on the camera module to aid low-light shots.
For selfie lovers, the dual-selfie camera features a large 48MP camera and another 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 105o field of view. There’s also a dual-LED flash for shooting in poorly lit conditions.
Performance is impressive too, with the PHANTOM X powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset and a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. You get only one storage option starting an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There’s also a dedicated slot for storage expansion.
Finally, the PHANTOM X has a 4700mAh battery with a 33W flash charge that fills the battery up to 70% in 30 minutes. The device runs TECNO’s HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 and is available for purchase on the exclusive Phantom website for N228,000.
